Kristers has a personal training and nutrition certificate from National Academy of Sports Medicine. Kristers has spent years learning strategies on how to incorporate exercise routines and physical activity into a busy daily schedule. Kristers has always been interested in the latest research on health and wellness. Longevity has become a strong personal interest.
Kristers has reached a high degree of success while competing for the University team back in Latvia.
In 2013, he competed in SELL Student games and placed 3rd while competing alongside other students from all over Europe.
The same year he placed second in the National Championship.
In the summer of 2013 after moving to Calgary he started competing in CPU/IPF and has won several titles in Western Canada.
First place in Western Canadian Championship in the Junior 93 kg weight class.
Second place in Western Canadian Championship in the Open 93 kg weight class.
Early in his competing career he held Alberta Squat and Total records in the 105 kg weight class.
Kristers placed in Top 2 several years in a row when competing in the Open 93 kg class.
During the last couple of years Kristers has turned to a more comprehensive training routine involving different aspects of body movement and mobility training.
MORE ABOUT YOUR YOGA TEACHER
Madara is a CYT-200 hour certified yoga teacher, who has been practicing yoga since 2014. She leads her days as a yoga teacher, wellness coach, and mindfulness advocate.
Madaras teachings focus on Vinyasa and Hatha style yoga classes. She incorporates elements of both dynamic flow and restorative practices to create a well-rounded experience.
Madara designs authentic yoga practices that best suits clients’ personal goals. Every class is designed to create a holistic wellness experience that promotes physical strength, mental clarity, and emotional balance.
Madara focuses on offering private yoga classes to make yoga accessible to all students. She strives to create a safe and inclusive space where students can explore their practice without judgment. Her approach is to meet each individual where they are, offering modifications and variations to suit all levels.
Madaras goal is to help clients build a strong, flexible body that carries them through life with joy and grace.
Madara is continuing her yoga teacher education in areas like prenatal and post-partum yoga, restorative yoga, meditation, and expanding her interests in mindfulness and wellness lifestyle.
